In my 35 years of life, I have accidentally injured myself many times. This one probably wins the award for most peculiar injury however...
Last night I was breastfeeding Riley before putting her in her crib. My foot fell asleep and I could feel it tingling a bit. I thought I would be good to walk on it still. I was WRONG!
In the two steps it takes to get from the rocking chair to her crib, my left foot folded in half so that my toes were touching the bottom of my foot and I almost fell and dropped Riley. Luckily, I caught my balance and somehow I was able to get her into her bed while she stayed asleep.
This morning, the pain is worse than last night. I have movement in all directions but pointing my toes down hurts and so does walking. It is all brusied and swollen so I walking around in my husband's slippers so I can insert a portable ice pack. Glad things didn't end up any worse than they did.
