Welcome. I am so happy you stopped by. I am writing this with my youngest child currently eating off my boob. She is the only girl out of our four children. She is one years old and her brothers are eight years, six years, and four years old. Sometimes I am super excited when I need to feed her so I can catch my breath and reset for whatever is going to come at me next. I love all my kids sooo much but every once and a while some quiet girl time and a sacred place to hide from the "mom" call and the bickering is just what I need. Then I remember that every time she eats she is trying to pinch my other niple like Play-Doh and realize it's not quite an oasis.
In addition to our four kids, my husband and I essentially run a small zoo in our home. We have three dogs (a husky, a lab mix, and our five month old golden retriever puppy that we impulsively bought the day after Christmas), fish, three guinea pigs, a bearded dragon and the crickets that the dragon eats. But wait.. there's more! We also have Tucker our painted turtle that we brought home from a river kayak trip. My husband told our kids that if they catch a turtle we can keep it. We did not expect that to actually happen. We had to veto the "If you catch it you can keep it rule" after our four year old somehow caught multiple wild birds last summer.
