Mason can be affectionate but is very much so on his own terms. Today was a somewhat unusual day because when I told him I loved him he didn't give me his typical responses of "I know" or "I told you not to tell me that everyday." Instead, he said "Love you." I was somewhat taken aback.
Then the classic Mason line was delivered. He proceeded to tell me, "I wish my umbilical cord was still attached to you so I could pull you with me everywhere."
This kid keeps me laughing and guessing constantly.
